The brand, established in 1968 by Enrico and Antonia Astori, is a legend in Italian design. Emerging at a time when design history was influenced by pop culture and radical design, Driade, with good reason, labelled itself as an ‘aesthetics laboratory’ – a meeting place for art, design and experimental eclecticism. Antonia Astori, Ron Arad, Fabio Novembre, Enzo Mari, Philippe Starck and others are among the authors of Driade designs. The company produces tables, sofas, mirrors, tableware and light fixtures.
